Alexander Girard’s Wooden Dolls are a large family of wooden figures depicting human and animal characters. Designed in 1952 for his Santa Fe home as decorative objects, these originals are now part of the Girard estate and are housed in the Vitra Design Museum. They served as models for the current re-editions. The many different Wooden Dolls are meticulously crafted and painted by hand, just like the vintage pieces by Alexander Girard. Despite their slight variations, each wooden figure remains a unique and individual product, truly one of a kind.
