Vintage onyx and Marcasite bracelet. 8 rectangular onyx cabochons set within and intricate mil-grain Marcasite square and thin vertical rectangular links. The clasp has a safety chain for additional protection, but is a pretty snug fit so most likely will stay put. This is all done in sterling silver 925.
Being a little familiar with the craftsmanship with jewelry, there are around 126 individually burred and drilled Marcasite holes all set, and each of the onyx had to be individually carved polished, the sterling cut and welded around the brackets. Then, a mil-grain roller was used the add finishing touches around each and every Marcasite. The individual brackets as there are two separate styles, one is a larger square style with the onyx in it and the next is like 1/4 the size in so it’s more like a bar—all these then have to have pin holes drilled through them for the attachment pins to go through.
