If you have a piece of Moon and Star in your hands, odds are it was made by Smith Glass. Over the years several different glassmakers made Moon and Star so it can be tricky to identify, but the greatest quantity was made by L.E. Smith Glass. L.G. Wright was a significant producer of Moon & Star in the 20th Century, but they did not press any glass themselves. Wright worked with other glassmakers, mostly Smith Glass, to produce Moon and Star. And on top of that, neither Smith nor Wright owned the molds or rights to Moon and Star. Smith paid royalties to Weishar, who did not produce any either until the early 200s.
