Original “American Gigolo” Richard Gere Set of 8 Film Lobby Cards (1980) 11”x14”

This is the complete set of 8 1980 Movie Lobby Cards measuring 11" x 14"that were issued for the 1980 neo-noir crime thriller “American Gigolo” written & directed by Paul Schrader (“Taxi Driver”, “Raging Bull”) & starring Richard Gere & Lauren Hutton. It tells the story of a high-priced escort in Los Angeles (Gere) who becomes romantically involved with a prominent politician's wife (Hutton), while simultaneously becoming the prime suspect in a murder case.

The condition of these 8 stylish neo-noir film theater lobby cards is very fine to near mint. The cards are in fantastic condition & they have no tape whatsoever on the front or back. There has never been any restoration work done to preserve these images. There may be minor wear & tear on edges or corners. The cards look absolutely terrific & display well!.

The film established Gere as a leading man & major film star. It was one of the first mainstream Hollywood films to include frontal male nudity from its main star.
