1980’s Rafael Sanchez Massive Black Glass and Glass Pearl Couture High End Necklace. Very Elegant, One-of-a-Kind Design, Runway Collection. It has 7 massive strands of round black glass beads in various sizes accented with off white Baroque Glass Pearls. It is decorated with a large Black, Oval Clasp, 1.75” x 1.25” with 4 beaded fringes, 5.5” long. Well designed, heavy Statement necklace, 18” long. Labeled Rafael Sanchez. In excellent condition.
Rafael Sanchez is a New York City Designer during the ‘80’s. His first jewelry collection was featured at Henri Bendel’s famed accessory showcase, quickly followed by other high end Department Stores. VOGUE hailed him as an “innovative and creative talent”. The Atlanta Apparel Market named him a Grand Designer in Accessories. His work is included in the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
