Pink JAPAN Imitation Pearl Shell Choker Necklace 5 Strands VINTAGE Retro Collar

Vintage pink JAPAN marked imitation pearl and shell choker collar necklace. This thing is definitely a statement necklace and screams retro. 16" long based on top strand and it weighs 2.4 ounces total. It has 5 strands of faux pink pearls, blush pearls, and peach pearls ranging in sizes from 5mm to 10.5mm, alternated with white plastic beads of different shapes. Some of those plastic beads were painted gold and have very little gold paint remaining on them still. Some were made to resemble shell pieces I believe. The top strand that sits closest to the neck has a single row of beads all the way until you get to the middle, and then it splits off into 2 tiny rows, and then goes back into one row. Not sure what the clasp is made of, it's not magnetic but does say JAPAN on it. It's in good shape for its age still but definitely needs to be cleaned somehow. I don't want to attempt to clean it because I would ruin it for sure. Smoke free home.
